Welcome to this Spring 2024 Walnut Tree Villa update!

Out of season we enjoy enhancing the villa to improve its guest appeal and comfort factor, for that all important vacation. For us giving our guests a little surprise or another “wow” moment makes the responsibility of villa ownership that much more rewarding and guest feedback more meaningful.

Departing the UK wasn’t too challenging given the winter we’ve just had!

Double Bedrooms
The double bedrooms have been made over with new contemporary stylish beds and super comfortable mattresses. The headboards now have built in ambient LED lighting (click here for pictures). Additionally, for added convenience we have had installed twin USB charging for all those power-hungry devices we cannot do without.

Swimming Pool
Throughout the winter the maintenance team were refurbishing elements of the swimming pool that we’re starting to look tired. As such we have upgraded the pool pump and filtration system and upgraded the pool lighting to energy efficient LED bulbs. The water is looking crystal clear and is super inviting for a dip on those hot sunny days.

Solar Panels
Marinos, our friendly and incredibly knowledgeable plumber recommended an upgrade as the current system was coming to the end of its working life and was not the most efficient. As such we have now installed the latest solar technology giving loads of hot water for our guests and, at the same time, we are further minimizing our impact on the environment. Additionally, with less pipework the water gets to the showers much more efficiently meaning guests do not need to wait so long for a refreshing shower.

The olive trees which were due for pruning have been lopped and chopped, opening up stunning views in and around the extensive one acre of garden. We are hoping for a bumper harvest at the end of the year. The non-native bamboo which was running amuck has been exterminated, again opening up the vistas from the comfort of some brand new director chairs and Italian sun loungers. Also given the unseasonably hot April this year where temperatures hit the mid twenties (degrees) and our work paused for some beach time and sunset opportunities.

We’ve installed additional parasols to block the late afternoon sun in the BBQ /chill out/reflection space which is set towards the northernmost corner of the garden.

The grass is freshly cut and the orange blossom is exuding the most gorgeous fragrance into the still night air. Why not stop by to savour the aroma en-route to the lemon tree for the essential G&T accompaniment?

Merchandise & Giveaways
A few times you will have heard us mention environmental impact (sorry). One thing the Greeks don’t do so well is recycle, go shopping and they want to give you another plastic bag even if you brought your own shopping bag and have it at the checkout.

New this season we are pleased to announce we have introduced our responsibly sourced cotton tote bag with our shiny new logo for you to use at the supermarket, beach and everywhere you go. Its free, gratis, gratuita, δωρεάν – and at the end of your stay its yours to take on your next adventure, wherever that may be – we promise not to get jealous!

And finally, please contact us if you picture yourself having these deserted beaches to yourself. We highly recommend low season as a great time to get precious downtime on this stunning and hugely popular holiday and wedding destination.

We sincerely wish each & every guest a magical time here on the Island & if there’s any feedback or experiences you wish to share, please let us know.
